Axel Berger

Axel is responsible for sustainability at Haniel and supports the family-equity company's portfolio in improving not only their operational performance, but also their environmental and social impact. Haniel is pursuing the specific goal of making all investments "enkelfähig", generating above-average financial success through sustainability and thus creating value for generations. Axel is a technologist and believes in the power of sustainable business models with which sustainability generates economic success, thereby scales fast to unfold its full impact. He studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich and holds an MBA from the Sydney Graduate School of Management.
