Dr. Alexa Lutzenberger from Hamburg is an expert in resource-efficient construction.

She is a banker, graduate engineer and Dr. rer. nat.

She worked for many years in research and teaching at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Faculty of Sustainability, Institute of Environmental Chemistry in the fields of climate, energy and resources.  Today she has teaching assignments at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University and the IREBS Real Estate Academy, among others.

She is also a member of numerous scientific advisory boards and conference committees, including the Federal Environment Agency's Resource Commission from 2013 to 2020. Since this year, she has been Chairwoman of the BDB Hamburg.

She is the founder of the Institute for Sustainability in the Real Estate Industry, where she advises investors and planners on life cycle building performance to minimize embodied carbon while maximizing energy efficiency.

She heads the engineering office Alrene, where she uses her holistic approach to develop climate protection and sustainability strategies for municipalities and medium-sized companies, but also acts in international projects on Cpacity Buildung.
