Markus Adler is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Code Gaia, the operating system for profitable sustainability and EHS management in the European SME sector. Based on his previous experience in banking and his observation of how time-consuming and error-prone data collection for sustainability reports can be, he developed the idea together with Niklas Schönstein to make ESG processes more efficient through AI-supported software and personal support. Today, Markus is responsible for Code Gaia’s strategic direction and commercial scaling, with a focus on go-to-market, sales, marketing and partnerships, and speaks as an expert on the sustainability transformation of SMEs, ESG reporting requirements, the use of AI in the ESG field and the role of policymakers in supporting SMEs.
